
Delivered by Michelle Shavdia, founder of Find Your Spark and a coaching psychologist, this program invites you to join a group of likeminded adults eager to enhance their ADHD awareness. You will learn about the lived experience and symptoms of ADHD, as well as how to seek support through ADHD coaching and connect with support groups for yourself, your child, or others.
This evidence-based ADHD awareness session will briefly cover:
- Background to ADHD
- Overlaps between neurodivergent conditions such as autism and dyspraxia
- ADHD symptoms, challenges, and strengths
- ADHD in employment
- Routes to diagnosis
- ADHD treatment and holistic self-care, including ADHD coaching and participation in support groups.
This evidence-based ADHD awareness session will briefly cover:
- Background to ADHD
- Overlaps between neuro-divergent conditions such as autism and dyspraxia
- ADHD symptoms, challenges like RSD and inattention issues, and strengths
- Neurodiversity in education
- Routes to diagnosis
- ADHD treatments and strategies for children, including ADHD coaching and information on support groups.
Join an ADULT group coaching session focused on ADHD awareness, where you will engage in ADHD coaching, acceptance, and connect with a supportive community of like-minded individuals. Learn effective strategies and coping skills that empower you to make meaningful changes in your personal and professional life. Discover more about your ADHD, including its challenges, barriers, and strengths. Gain valuable insights from the experiences of others on a similar journey. With Michelle's guidance and the encouragement of your peers in the support groups, you will stay accountable for your progress and goals. Together, you will explore strategies and solutions that have proven effective for those with ADHD.
This evidence-based ADHD awareness session aims to enhance understanding, foster acceptance, and dismantle the stigma surrounding ADHD, a condition that remains widely misunderstood. Over the course of 1 – 2 hours, the session will cover key topics including:
- The significance of discussing ADHD and the importance of breaking down the stigma of disclosing this disability.
- A background and timeline of ADHD, including its symptoms and the challenges faced by individuals with this condition.
- The unique strengths associated with ADHD, along with strategies for effectively communicating these strengths in the workplace.
- Insights into what ADHD looks like in a professional setting and the distinct experiences of those affected.
- Practical ADHD coping skills and tools that can be utilized.
- An overview of reasonable adjustments in the workplace and how employers can support individuals with ADHD, ultimately creating a more inclusive environment.
- Information about ADHD coaching and the role of support groups in helping individuals manage their condition effectively.
Join our support groups for ADHD awareness among adults, teens, parents, schools, and organizations. These courses enhance confidence, practical know-how, and understanding of ADHD in a supportive, stigma-free environment. Delivered by Michelle Shavdia, founder of Find Your Spark and an experienced ADHD coach, who was diagnosed with ADHD at 37 and holds a Masters in Coaching Psychology.
Where: Copford Village Hall, Colchester or online (for organizations only)
Who: Adults with an ADHD diagnosis, those awaiting a diagnosis, or anyone who suspects they may have ADHD.
Parents or family members of children and young adults with ADHD are also welcome.
Organizations looking to support their staff or clients diagnosed with ADHD, or to promote ADHD awareness and acceptance of this often misunderstood and stigmatized condition, are encouraged to participate.
